FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
STATEHOUSE (April 14, 2026) – "Limited access to affordable child care hinders too many Hoosier parents from finding jobs, and it keeps too many employers from finding workers.
"This year, I supported Senate Enrolled Act 4, which allows additional state dollars to be invested in the CCDF voucher program, and I was pleased to hear Gov. Braun is using that law to invest $200 million to expand affordable child care options and reduce the state's waitlist for CCDF vouchers.
"This infusion will expand affordable child care options to local families, and it shows Indiana is open for business and ready to start treating the development of a robust child care system like the infrastructure issue it is."
