State Sen. Tyler Johnson to serve on study committees

STATEHOUSE (July 13, 2023) — State Sen. Tyler Johnson (R-Leo) will serve as a member of the Interim Study Committee on Child Services and the Interim Study Committee on Public Health, Behavioral Health and Human Services in preparation for the 2024 legislative session.

“Interim study committees give lawmakers time to study policy areas the Indiana General Assembly hopes to tackle during the next legislative session," Johnson said. "I look forward to working with my colleagues in the months ahead as we study issues like child safety and mental health."

Legislators will meet over the summer and fall months to discuss topics approved by the bipartisan Legislative Council, which is comprised of 16 voting members – eight from the Senate and eight from the House of Representatives.
