STATEHOUSE (July 13, 2023) — State Sen. Spencer Deery (R-West Lafayette) will serve as a member of several study committees in preparation for the 2024 legislative session.
Deery's assignments include:"One of the reasons I ran for office was because I believed we needed more long-term, bold and evidence-based policymaking," Deery said. "Summer study committees are an ideal place to make that happen, and I'm excited to add my voice and the needs of District 23 to the conversation."
Legislators will meet over the summer and fall months to discuss topics approved by the bipartisan Legislative Council, which is comprised of 16 voting members – eight from the Senate and eight from the House of Representatives.
