State Sen. Linda Rogers to co-chair housing task force

STATEHOUSE (Aug. 22, 2022) — State Sen. Linda Rogers (R-Granger) will serve as co-chair of the Housing Task Force and as a member of several other study committees in preparation for the 2023 legislative session.

Rogers' other assignments include the Interim Study Committee on Fiscal Policy and the Interim Study Committee on Pension Management Oversight.

"I'm grateful for the opportunity to meet with my fellow legislators to discuss solutions relating to housing shortages for low- and middle-income families throughout Indiana," Rogers said. "This is an incredibly important issue given that 72% of low-income renters spend more than half their income on rent each month."

Legislators will meet over the summer and fall months to discuss topics approved by the bipartisan Legislative Council, which is comprised of 16 voting members – eight from the Senate and eight from the House of Representatives.
