STATEHOUSE (July 9, 2025) — State Sen. Jeff Raatz (R-Richmond) will serve as chair of the Interim Study Committee on Education, and the Legislative Council Technology Oversight Subcommittee, and as a member of several other study committees in preparation for the 2026 legislative session.
Raatz's other assignments include:
"Interim study committees allow legislators to look in-depth at issues for the upcoming legislative session," Raatz said. "I look forward to hearing testimony from experts and working with my colleagues to ensure we are addressing the educational challenges facing Indiana in the most impactful way possible."
Legislators will meet over the summer and fall months to discuss topics approved by the bipartisan Legislative Council, which is comprised of 16 voting members – eight from the Senate and eight from the House of Representatives.
