State Sen. Jack E. Sandlin to serve on study committees

STATEHOUSE (June 16, 2021) — State Sen. Jack E. Sandlin (R-Indianapolis) will serve as a member of several study committees in preparation for the 2022 legislative session.

Sandlin's assignments include the following:

  • Interim Study Committee on Government;
  • Board of Trustees of the Criminal Justice Institute;
  • Commission on Hispanic/Latino Affairs;
  • Low Barrier Homeless Shelter Task Force; and
  • State Council for Interstate Adult and Juvenile Offender Supervision.

"I am grateful to be serving on such a wide array of committees this year," Sandlin said. "These groups will all be looking for answers to nuanced problems affecting our communities, and I am looking forward to learning more and bringing that knowledge back to the Senate."

Legislators will meet over the summer and fall months to discuss topics approved by the bipartisan Legislative Council, which is comprised of 16 voting members – eight from the Senate and eight from the House of Representatives.
