State Sen. Greg Walker to vice chair child services study committee

STATEHOUSE (June 27, 2024) — State Sen. Greg Walker (R-Columbus) will serve as vice chair of the Interim Study Committee on Child Services and as a member of several other study committees in preparation for the 2025 legislative session.

Walker's other assignments include the Interim Study Committee on Pensions Management Oversight and the Native American Indian Affairs Commission.

"These committees provide the time for legislators to take a closer look at reports and review public policy issues that require further discussion or research," Walker said. "I look forward to these discussions and hope they will help us make well-informed legislative decisions on behalf of Hoosiers."

Legislators will meet over the summer and fall months to discuss topics approved by the bipartisan Legislative Council, which is comprised of 16 voting members – eight from the Senate and eight from the House of Representatives.
