State Sen. Greg Goode welcomes local student to Statehouse

STATEHOUSE (March 14, 2024) – State Sen. Greg Goode (R-Terre Haute) welcomed Terre Haute resident and Terre Haute South Vigo High School student Tavin Hunt to the Statehouse to serve as a Senate page in February.

Pages spend a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing debates from the Senate floor and interacting with their state senator.

"The Senate Page Program is an excellent way for students like Tavin to become involved in our state legislature," Goode said. "It's always a pleasure meeting interested students like him and answering their questions about state government. I encourage all eligible students to participate in this program next year."

Students in grades six through 12 participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the legislative session. Groups serve on Wednesdays.
