"I always appreciate the information lawmakers receive from industry experts and interest groups on the topics discussed during interim study committees," Charbonneau said. "This insight helps us develop legislation, and I am especially interested to hear how our state can further improve our postpartum health care for mothers. I look forward to returning to working with my fellow legislators on this and many other topics as we prepare for next session."

Legislators will meet over the summer and fall months to discuss topics approved by the bipartisan Legislative Council, which is comprised of 16 voting members – eight from the Senate and eight from the House of Representatives.
