STATEHOUSE (July 9, 2025) — State Sen. Cyndi Carrasco (R-Indianapolis) will serve as chair of the Probate Code Study Committee and as a member of several other study committees in preparation for the 2026 legislative session.
Carrasco's other assignments include:
"The work of these study committees is a vital step toward addressing complex issues that deeply impact Hoosiers, from the burden of medical debt to ensuring transparency in health care billing practices,” Carrasco said. "Additionally, reviewing the trends of criminal behavior, sentencing and incarceration will allow me and my fellow lawmakers to gain a clearer understanding of how to better align our justice system with the needs of the state."
Legislators will meet over the summer and fall months to discuss topics approved by the bipartisan Legislative Council, which is comprised of 16 voting members – eight from the Senate and eight from the House of Representatives.
