STATEHOUSE (June 27, 2024) — State Sen. Brian Buchanan (R-Lebanon) will serve as vice chair of the Interim Study Committee on Pension Management Oversight and as a member of several other study committees in preparation for the 2025 legislative session.
Buchanan's other assignments include:
"Last year's work with the Pension Management Oversight Committee resulted in House Enrolled Act 1004, which strengthened our Indiana Public Retirement System," Buchanan said. "In the months ahead, I look forward to reviewing fiscal policies that can continue Indiana's track record of financial success and strengthen our state's pension system.
Legislators will meet over the summer and fall months to discuss topics approved by the bipartisan Legislative Council, which is comprised of 16 voting members – eight from the Senate and eight from the House of Representatives.
