STATEHOUSE (Aug. 22, 2022) — State Sen. Andy Zay (R-Huntington) will serve as vice chair of the Interim Study Committee on Financial Institutions and Insurance and also as a member of a few other study committees in preparation for the 2023 legislative session.
Zay's other assignments include the Interim Study Committee on Energy, Utilities and Telecommunications, and the Advisory Board for the Principal Institute.
"As vice chair of the financial institutions and insurance study committee, I look forward to reviewing ways to improve the health care and pharmaceutical industries in Indiana as it relates to billing," Zay said. "These conversations will help craft future legislation that could be offered in future sessions, and hopefully help lower costs for Hoosiers.”
Legislators will meet over the summer and fall months to discuss topics approved by the bipartisan Legislative Council, which is comprised of 16 voting members – eight from the Senate and eight from the House of Representatives.
