Senate President Pro Tem Rodric Bray (R-Martinsville) made the following statement today regarding Organization Day for the second regular session of the 121st General Assembly

STATEHOUSE (Nov. 19, 2019) – “Today lawmakers gathered for Organization Day to begin preparing for the short session ahead of us. This year I expect our caucus to continue supporting our K-12 education system, improve health care cost transparency for Hoosiers and eliminate government debt.

“In addition, we were happy to welcome educators from across the state to the capitol. They are a critical part of the conversation as we look for ways to support our schools, and we want and welcome their voices in our policy discussions at the Statehouse.

“We have worked to demonstrate our commitment to K-12 education through a historic increase in funding during the recent budget session, and we will continue working to demonstrate our commitment going forward. We have been pleased to see numerous school districts announcing news of teacher raises across the state and look forward to hearing more positive news in this regard.”
