Sen. Young welcomes local students to Statehouse

STATEHOUSE (April 21, 2025) – The following local students came to the Statehouse to serve as Senate page in March.

  • Issac Arden, from Clayton, is a homeschooled student (pictured with Sen. Cyndi Carrasco (R-Indianapolis))
  • Aidan Hayes, from Camby, attends Mooresville High School (pictured with Sen. Minority Leader Shelli Yoder (D-Bloomington))
  • Liam Hayes, from Camby, attends Paul Hadley Middle School (pictured with Sen. Minority Leader Shelli Yoder (D-Bloomington))

Pages spend a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing debates from the Senate floor and interacting with their state senator.

"Paging for the Indiana Senate is a great opportunity for students to explore their interest in state government," Young said. "I encourage the students to register for the 2026 Indiana Senate Page Program to help develop their education."

Students in grades six through 12 participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the legislative session. Groups serve on Wednesdays.
