STATEHOUSE (Feb. 21, 2024) – State Sen. Kyle Walker (R-Lawrence) welcomed Fishers resident and Hamilton Southeastern High School student Nicole Morris to the Statehouse to serve as a Senate page in January.
Pages spend a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing debates from the Senate floor and interacting with their state senator.
"The Senate page program brings bright young minds like Nicole to the Statehouse each year," said Walker. "The opportunity to serve as a page educates young people on the legislative process and gives senators a chance to hear the unique perspective of our young Hoosiers."
Students in grades six through 12 participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the legislative session. Groups serve on Wednesdays.
