Pages spend a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing debates from the Senate floor and interacting with their state senator.

"As chair of the Senate Committee on Education and Career Development, I enjoy welcoming students to the Statehouse and teaching them about the legislative process," Raatz said. "It is important for young Hoosiers to receive educational experiences beyond the classroom, so I encourage all students to participate in the Senate Page Program."

Students in grades six through 12 participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the legislative session. Groups serve on Wednesdays.
