STATEHOUSE (Feb. 9, 2022) – State Sen. Chip Perfect (R-Lawrenceburg) welcomed the following local students to the Statehouse who served as Senate pages in January.

Will Graf, from Guilford, attends East Central Middle School

Jocelyn Johnson, from Butlerville, attends Jennings County Middle School

Olivia Johnson, from Butlerville, attends Jennings County Middle School

Colton Lewis, from Guilford, attends East Central Middle School

Molly Lewis, from Guilford, attends East Central Middle School

Charlie Parmer, from Rushville, attends North Decatur Elementary School

Pages spend a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing debates from the Senate floor and interacting with their state senator.

"I love showing my pages how Senators from across the state come together to solve issues," Perfect said. "I find the Senate Page Program to be a valuable learning experience for these students, giving them a first-hand look at the legislative process."

Students in grades six through 12 participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the legislative session. Groups serve on Wednesdays.
