Sen. Niemeyer welcomes local students to Statehouse

STATEHOUSE (April. 21, 2025) – State Sen. Rick Niemeyer (R-Lowell) welcomed the following local students to the Statehouse who served as Senate pages in March and April.

  • Caiden Guajardo, from Crown Point, attends Taft Middle School
  • Eric Hutch, from Crown Point, attends Clifford Pierce Middle School
  • Sean Morris, from Crown Point, attends Crown Point High School
  • Levi Murzyn, from Crown Point, attends Jerry Ross Middle School
  • Luxe Simmons, from Earl Park, attends South Newton Middle School
  • Ainsley Wirtz, from Kentland, attends South Newton Middle School

Pages spend a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing debates from the Senate floor and interacting with their state senator.

"Paging for the Indiana Senate is a great opportunity for young Hoosiers to learn more about their civic duties," Niemeyer said. "Students interested in seeing how their state government works firsthand should consider applying for the 2026 Senate Page Program."

Students in grades six through 12 participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the legislative session. Groups serve on Wednesdays.

The 2025 Senate Page program has now ended. Parents interested in signing up their child for the 2026 program should visit www.IndianaSenateRepublicans.com/Page-Program at the end of 2025 for more information. More information about the Senate Page Program is also available on this site.
