Sen. Messmer welcomes local student to Statehouse

STATEHOUSE (March 12, 2024) – State Sen. Mark Messmer (R-Jasper) welcomed Winslow resident and homeschooled student Logan Willis to serve as a Senate page at the Statehouse in February.

Pages spend a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing debates from the Senate floor and interacting with their state senator.

"I appreciate Logan taking time out of his day to come to the Statehouse," said Messmer. "It is always a pleasure meeting young Hoosiers like him who are willing to learn about their state legislature."

Students in grades six through 12 participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the legislative session. Groups serve on Wednesdays.
