STATEHOUSE (Jan. 12, 2026) — State Sen. Greg Goode (R-Terre Haute) was presented with the Indiana Association of Area Agencies on Aging's Legislator of the Year on Monday, Jan. 12.
During the 2025 legislative session, Goode sponsored House Enrolled Act 1391, which allows the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration to establish a Medicaid diversion pilot program in western Indiana that would evaluate the effectiveness of home modification and telehealth provided by agencies to work toward reducing Medicaid expenditures.
"It was my honor to spearhead House Enrolled Act 1391 through the Senate last year," Goode said. "The bill assists our state's associations on aging who work hard to ensure senior citizens are getting the care they need in our communities. I'd like to thank the Indiana Association of Area Agencies on Aging for this recognition, and look forward to working with them to find more ways to ensure Hoosier seniors are well taken care of."
The Indiana Association of Area Agencies on Aging works with the state's area agencies on aging to advocate for Hoosier seniors and ensure they have access to quality long-term services.
