Sen. Crider welcomes local students to Statehouse

STATEHOUSE (Feb. 21, 2023) – State Sen. Michael Crider (R-Greenfield) welcomed the following local students to the Statehouse who served as Senate pages in January.

  • Addison Bowers, from Indianapolis, attends New Palestine High School
  • Reagan Bowers, from Indianapolis, attends New Palestine High School
  • Courtney Gross, from Shelbyville, attends Shelbyville Middle School (pictured with State Sen. Leising (R-Oldenburg))
  • Serenity Gross, from Shelbyville, attends Shelbyville Middle School (pictured with State Sen. Leising (R-Oldenburg))
  • Juliana Jackson, from New Palestine, attends New Palestine Intermediate School
  • Trey Smith, from Greenfield, attends Greenfield-Central High School
  • Adalyn Willis, from Wilkinson, attends Eastern Hancock Middle School
  • Alivia Willis, from Wilkinson, attends Eastern Hancock Middle School
  • Tenley Yoder, from New Palestine, attends New Palestine Intermediate School

Pages spend a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing debates from the Senate floor and interacting with their state senator.

"The page program is a wonderful learning experience and gives the future leaders of Indiana a look inside the legislative process," Crider said. "I would like to thank the students that visited me in January and I look forward to seeing more bright faces as the session page program continues."

Students in grades six through 12 participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the legislative session. Groups serve on Wednesdays.

State Sen. Michael Crider (R-Greenfield) represents Senate District 28, which includes Hancock County and portions of Shelby and Marion counties.
