Sen. Charbonneau welcomes local students to Statehouse as Senate pages

STATEHOUSE (March 6, 2026) — State Sen. Ed Charbonneau (R-Valparaiso) welcomed the following local students to the Statehouse who served as Senate pages.

  • Stephen Cook, from Brookston, attends Frontier Jr/Sr High School
  • Holden Frain, from Monterey, attends Winamac Community Middle School
  • Joseph Ledley, from Winamac, attends Winamac Community Middle School
  • Ethan McCready, from Star City, attends Winamac Community Middle School
  • Kylie Thompson, from Winamac, attends Pioneer Jr/Sr High School

Pages spend a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing debates from the Senate floor and interacting with their state senator.

"Senate pages get to do so much during their day at the Statehouse, including learning how a bill becomes a law and observing session," Charbonneau said. "It is always great to meet with these students and help them learn more about state government. I encourage all eligible students to consider applying next session."

Students in grades six through 12 participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the legislative session.

The 2026 Senate Page program has now ended. Parents interested in learning more about the program should visit www.IndianaSenateRepublicans.com/Page-Program. Applications for the 2027 program will be available at the end of 2026.
