Sen. Buchanan welcomes local students to Statehouse

STATEHOUSE (April. 21, 2025) – State Sen. Brian Buchanan (R-Lebanon) welcomed Frankfort Middle School student Abigail Coddington and Western Boone Middle School student Nathan Lester to the Statehouse to serve as Senate pages in March.

Pages spend a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing debates from the Senate floor and interacting with their state senator.

"I always enjoy the opportunity to guide young Hoosiers through the legislative process," Buchanan said. "The Senate Page Program is a key program to inspire our future state leaders, giving them a valuable learning experience with their state government."

Students in grades six through 12 participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the legislative session. Groups serve on Wednesdays.

The 2025 Senate Page program has now ended. Parents interested in signing up their child for the 2026 program should visit www.IndianaSenateRepublicans.com/Page-Program at the end of 2025 for more information. More information about the Senate Page Program is also available on this site.
