Sen. Alting welcomes local students to Statehouse

STATEHOUSE (April. 21, 2025) – State Sen. Ron Alting (R-Lafayette) welcomed West Lafayette High School student William Adler and Twin Lakes Senior High School student Ella Grennes to the Statehouse who served as Senate pages in March and April.

Pages spend a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing debates from the Senate floor and interacting with their state senator.

"The opportunity to allow young Hoosiers to understand the legislative process has always brought extra meaning to my role as a state senator," Alting said. "The Senate Page Program is a transformative experience for Hoosier youth and I am grateful for the ability to shape their experience."

Students in grades six through 12 participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the legislative session. Groups serve on Wednesdays.

The 2025 Senate Page program has now ended. Parents interested in signing up their child for the 2026 program should visit www.IndianaSenateRepublicans.com/Page-Program at the end of 2025 for more information. More information about the Senate Page Program is also available on this site.
