Sen. Alexander welcomes local students to Statehouse

STATEHOUSE (Feb. 28, 2024) – State Sen. Alexander (R-Muncie) welcomed the following local students to the Statehouse who served as Senate pages in January.

Pages spend a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing debates from the Senate floor and interacting with their state senator.

"I always look forward to seeing young Hoosiers at the Statehouse," Alexander said. "It's important that our youth learn about the legislative process at an early age and the Senate Page Program is a great learning opportunity for them to experience it firsthand."

Students in grades six through 12 participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the legislative session. Groups serve on Wednesdays.
