STATEHOUSE (May 5, 2025) — State Sen. Ron Alting (R-Lafayette) congratulates McCutcheon High School's Maverick Robotics team on winning the annual FIRST Robotics World Championship last month in Houston, Texas.
The Mavericks defeated teams from across the world to bring home the title.
"The young men and women on the Mavericks not only made their school and community proud, but made all of Indiana proud with this great achievement," Alting said. "I congratulate the students, coaches and parents who worked so hard to bring this championship win to McCutcheon High School."
The Mavericks were one of 12 teams from Indiana to qualify for this year's championship, which featured more than 600 teams from all over the world.
