Register your child to serve as a Senate Page

The 2023 Senate Page Program is now accepting applications. The program allows students in grades six through 12 to spend a day at the Statehouse learning and observing what senators do during the legislative session and how state laws are created.

Senate pages have the opportunity to:

  • Tour the Indiana Statehouse, including the House and Senate chambers, the Supreme Court and the governor’s office.
  • Observe the legislative session directly from the floor of the Senate and listen to debates on important policy issues.
  • Meet and assist senators with age-appropriate tasks.

The Senate Page Program provides young Hoosiers a closer look at how their state government works in real time. The program will begin in January and run through early April.

Serving as a page is considered an excused absence from school with visits scheduled for Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the legislative session. Pages begin their day at 8:30 a.m. and are dismissed at 3:30 p.m. Groups serve together on Wednesdays.
