STATEHOUSE (March 16, 2022) – State Sen. Jeff Raatz (R-Richmond) welcomed Francis Baldridge, from Farmland, and Quinn Burdette, from Sunman, to the Statehouse to serve as a Senate page in February.
Baldridge attends Freedom Christian Academy, and Burdette attends East Central Middle School.
Pages spend a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing debates from the Senate floor and interacting with their state senator.
"I loved meeting Francis and Quinn and showing them how legislation is debated and voted on in the Senate," Raatz said. "The page program is a wonderful learning experience for any young Hoosier interested in state government and public service."
Students in grades six through 12 participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the legislative session. Groups serve on Wednesdays.
