Raatz to chair Senate Committee on
Education and Career Development

STATEHOUSE (Dec. 8, 2022) – State Sen. Jeff Raatz (R-Richmond) has been reappointed by Senate President Pro Tem Rodric Bray (R-Martinsville) to serve as chair of the Senate Committee on Education and Career Development for the 123rd Indiana General Assembly.

Raatz will also serve on the Senate Committee on Appropriations and the School Funding Subcommittee.

"Ensuring Hoosiers receive the high-quality education they deserve is always a priority for me, as a former school principal, and the entire Indiana General Assembly," Raatz said. "I am honored to once again serve as a leader for our state's education community and lead discussions addressing concerns facing students and educators today."

The 2023 legislative session ceremonially began with Organization Day on Nov. 22. The Senate is scheduled to reconvene for session Jan. 9.
