STATEHOUSE (July 13, 2023) — State Sen. Scott Baldwin (R-Noblesville) will serve as chair of the Interim Study Committee on Financial Institutions and Insurance in preparation for the 2024 legislative session.
Baldwin will also serve as a member of the Interim Study Committees on Commerce and Economic Development and Fiscal Policy.
"The interim committees give me the opportunity to closer study issues facing Hoosiers," Baldwin said. " I look forward to many productive discussions with my colleagues, especially regarding fiscal and insurance concerns, as we consider possible legislation for the next session."
Legislators will meet over the summer and fall months to discuss topics approved by the bipartisan Legislative Council, which is comprised of 16 voting members – eight from the Senate and eight from the House of Representatives.
