STATEHOUSE (March 24, 2020) – The Indiana Department of Transportation recently announced that a culvert replacement is scheduled for S.R. 205 from Wolf Road to Washington Road in Whitley County, said State Sen. Andy Zay (R-Huntington).
The three-day road closure will allow maintenance crews to complete the replacement of a culvert pipe, and is scheduled to begin in early April but may begin in mid-April, depending on the weather.
Access to homes and businesses will be maintained through the work. The official detour for the closure will be S.R. 9 to S.R. 14 to S.R. 5. The work is scheduled to be complete by April 8, weather permitting.
"Worker safety is extremely important, so always be aware of your surroundings while approaching work zones," Zay said. "In addition, plan on taking alternative routes if the detours will not satisfy where you are going."
Motorists can expect to see signage up as early as the week of March 30.
