STATEHOUSE (Aug. 24, 2026) — The Indiana Senate Republican Caucus is offering paid spring-semester internships in its communications, information technology, legal, legislative, page and policy offices during the 2027 session of the Indiana General Assembly, said State Sen. Ryan Mishler (R-Mishawaka).
Qualified candidates may be of any major and must be at least a college sophomore. Recent college graduates, as well as graduate and law school students, are also encouraged to apply.
Interns earn a $900 biweekly stipend and benefit from scholarship and academic credit opportunities, professional development, community involvement and networking.
Senate internships are full-time positions at the Statehouse in downtown Indianapolis that typically begin with a mandatory orientation in late December or early January. The incoming intern class will conclude their work at the end of the 2027 legislative session, which by law must end by April 29.
"The Senate Republican internship program offers a wealth of learning opportunities for college students and recent graduates who want to gain work experience and expand their knowledge of state government," Mishler said. "The work we do during session wouldn't be possible without our interns, and I encourage all eligible students to consider applying for our internship program."
