MERRITT RECEIVES FRIEND OF CHILDREN AWARD: Executive Director of the Indiana Association of Resources and Child Advocacy (IARCA) Cathy Graham (right) awards State Sen. Jim Merritt (R-Indianapolis, left) the Friend of Children Award at the IARCA’s fall conference Wednesday, Sept. 20. Merritt received the award for the work he has done to protect children, including authoring the Lifeline Law and Safe Haven Law as well as sponsoring the “Kids First” License Plate fund.
