LEISING JOINS CEREMONIAL SIGNING OF FORESTRY PERMITTING BILL: State Sen. Jean Leising (R-Oldenburg; second row, fourth from left) joins Gov. Eric Holcomb as he ceremonially signs House Enrolled Act 1601 into law at the Statehouse Monday, May 22. Effective on July 1, the law establishes permit exemptions for forestry operations confined to a waterway that has a watershed less than 10 square miles.
