Johnson: General Assembly kicks off 2024 session

STATEHOUSE (Nov. 21, 2023) — State Sen. Tyler Johnson (R-Leo) gathered with fellow legislators today at the Statehouse for Organization Day – the ceremonial start of the Indiana General Assembly.

Organization Day marks the annual first roll call of all state lawmakers. This day also provides members of the Senate and House of Representatives with the opportunity to meet before session officially reconvenes in January. By state law, the 2024 session will conclude on or before March 14.

"I am grateful to be serving the citizens of Senate District 14 as I begin my second legislative session," Johnson said. "Throughout the interim, I reviewed issues within our state's healthcare system, especially the public health sector. As I enter this session, I look forward to using this information to help build a better health care system that works well for all citizens."

As the 2024 session gets underway, Johnson encourages residents of Senate District 14 to contact him with any questions or comments they may have by email at Senator.Johnson@iga.in.gov or by phone at 800-382-9467.
