The Indiana Senate Republican Caucus is now accepting applications for its 2026 legislative session internship program, including an opportunity for young professionals interested in information technology and cybersecurity.

The IT internship is ideal for individuals who are passionate about technology and want to see how it supports the work of state government behind the scenes. IT interns play a vital role in keeping the Statehouse connected and secure by assisting senators and staff with day-to-day technology needs.

As an IT intern, you will:

• Respond to technology and cybersecurity needs of senators and staff;

• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues;

• Assist in the implementation of new technologies;

• Reformat and reimage computers; and

• Set up and operate audiovisual equipment, including video switchers, teleconference systems, webcasts and recordings.

This full-time, paid internship offers a unique experience in maintaining and improving the technology that is critical to Indiana’s legislative process and the Senate’s day-to-day operations.

Internships are open to undergraduate sophomores, juniors and seniors, as well as recent graduates, graduate students and law students from all majors. Positions are in-person at the Indiana Statehouse in Indianapolis, beginning with a mandatory orientation in late December or early January and concluding at the end of the 2026 legislative session.
