Head named member of Council of State Governments 2018 Henry Toll Fellowship

STATEHOUSE (Aug. 17, 2018) – State Sen. Randy Head (R-Logansport) was recently named a member of the Council of State Governments 2018 Henry Toll Fellowship, one of the nation’s premier leadership development programs for state government officials.

Each year, the program gathers 48 of the nation’s top officials from all three branches of state government for a “leadership boot camp.” Officials take part in numerous sessions designed to stimulate personal assessment and growth and provide networking and relationship-building opportunities.

“Being a strong leader is an important quality for legislators, and I look forward to the opportunity to move outside my comfort zone and learn more about effective leadership strategies,” Head said. “I am grateful to have been chosen to take part in this program, and look forward to working with other officials to become a better legislator.”

Following a graduation ceremony, Head will be considered a Toll Fellow alumnus. Some Toll Fellow alumni are governors, secretaries of state, chief justices and members of Congress, among others.

The program runs Aug. 24-28 in Lexington, Kentucky.
