STATEHOUSE (Sept. 26, 2025) – State Sen. Greg Goode (R-Terre Haute) led the Indiana General Assembly's Defense Caucus Thursday, Sept. 25, at Purdue University.
Goode was named co-chair of the Defense Caucus earlier this year, which was created to identify and propose opportunities to support Indiana's defense sector.
During the meeting, caucus members heard about research opportunities at Purdue, toured the Purdue Research Park and met with university leadership.
"As a leading aeronautical and engineering institution, Purdue has made major contributions to our nation's military and defense industry for decades," Goode said. "As co-chair of the Defense Caucus, it was a great opportunity to visit the university and learn how its students, alumni and researchers can help lead Indiana's defense sector into the future."
During the meeting, the caucus learned about focus areas of research at Purdue like cybersecurity, autonomy and artificial intelligence, and hypersonic and space vehicles.
Goode encourages residents of Senate District 38 to contact him with any questions or comments they may have. Goode can be reached by filling out a "Contact Me" form online at www.IndianaSenateRepublicans.com/Goode or by phone at 800-382-9467.
