Gaskill: General Assembly kicks off 2024 session

STATEHOUSE (Nov. 21, 2023) — State Sen. Mike Gaskill (R-Pendleton) gathered with fellow legislators today at the Statehouse for Organization Day – the ceremonial start of the Indiana General Assembly.

Organization Day marks the annual first roll call of all state lawmakers. This day also provides members of the Senate and House of Representatives with the opportunity to meet before session officially reconvenes in January. By state law, the 2024 session will conclude on or before March 14.

"After a busy interim of study committees, I am ready to return to our capitol building with all my colleagues and continue to make Indiana a great place to live, work and raise a family," Gaskill said. "I am eager to see what improvements the 2024 session will bring to our state."

As the 2024 session gets underway, Gaskill encourages residents of Senate District 25 to contact him with any questions or comments they may have. Gaskill can be reached via email at Senator.Gaskill@iga.in.gov or by phone at 800-382-9467.
