Dernulc: General Assembly kicks off 2024 session

STATEHOUSE (Nov. 21, 2023) — State Sen. Dan Dernulc (R-Highland) gathered with fellow legislators today at the Statehouse for Organization Day – the ceremonial start of the Indiana General Assembly.

Organization Day marks the annual first roll call of all state lawmakers. This day also provides members of the Senate and House of Representatives with the opportunity to meet before session officially reconvenes in January. By state law, the 2024 session will conclude on or before March 14.

"I have worked diligently this summer to draft legislation that will positively impact the lives of Hoosiers in Senate District 1 and around the state," Dernulc said. "I'm eager to get back to the Statehouse to continue this work and receive input from my constituents and colleagues."

As the 2024 session gets underway, Dernulc encourages residents of Senate District 1 to contact him with any questions or comments they may have. Dernulc can be reached via email at Senator.Dernulc@iga.in.gov or by phone at 800-382-9467.
