Crane: General Assembly kicks off 2024 session

STATEHOUSE (Nov. 21, 2023) — State Sen. John B. Crane (R-Avon) gathered with fellow legislators today at the Statehouse for Organization Day – the ceremonial start of the Indiana General Assembly.

Organization Day marks the annual first roll call of all state lawmakers. This day also provides members of the Senate and House of Representatives with the opportunity to meet before session officially reconvenes in January. By state law, the 2024 session will conclude on or before March 14.

"I am looking forward to reconvening at the Statehouse and having constructive conversations with my colleagues," Crane said. "We were all called to help improve our communities, and the 2024 session will give us the opportunity to do just that as we share our knowledge and ideas on important policy."

As the 2024 session gets underway, Crane encourages residents of Senate District 24 to contact him with any questions or comments they may have. Crane can be reached via email at S24@iga.in.gov or by phone at 800-382-9467.
