Carrasco: General Assembly kicks off 2024 session

STATEHOUSE (Nov. 21, 2023) — State Sen. Cyndi Carrasco (R-Indianapolis) gathered with fellow legislators today at the Statehouse for Organization Day – the ceremonial start of the Indiana General Assembly.

Organization Day marks the annual first roll call of all state lawmakers. This day also provides members of the Senate and House of Representatives with the opportunity to meet before session officially reconvenes in January. By state law, the 2024 session will conclude on or before March 14.

"I am excited to meet with my colleagues at the Statehouse to discuss legislation that could further improve our state," Carrasco said. "It's an honor to be the State Senator for Senate District 36 and I plan to work tirelessly for my community and our families this session."

As the 2024 session gets underway, Carrasco encourages residents of Senate District 36 to contact her with any questions or comments they may have. Carrasco can be reached via email at Senator.Carrasco@iga.in.gov or by phone at 800-382-9467.
