Buck: General Assembly kicks off 2024 session

STATEHOUSE (Nov. 21, 2023) — State Sen. Jim Buck (R-Kokomo) gathered with fellow legislators today at the Statehouse for Organization Day – the ceremonial start of the Indiana General Assembly.

Organization Day marks the annual first roll call of all state lawmakers. This day also provides members of the Senate and House of Representatives with the opportunity to meet before session officially reconvenes in January. By state law, the 2024 session will conclude on or before March 14.

"I look forward to returning to the Statehouse and crafting legislation that will benefit Hoosiers," Buck said. "It is always important to me that we, as a General Assembly, work hard to better our state and communities. Each session gives us a valuable opportunity to do so."

As the 2024 session gets underway, Buck encourages residents of Senate District 21 to contact him with any questions or comments they may have. Buck can be reached via email at Senator.Buck@iga.in.gov or by phone at 800-382-9467.
