Buchanan to chair Senate Committee on Commerce and Technology

STATEHOUSE (Nov. 20, 2023) — State Sen. Brian Buchanan (R-Lebanon) has been appointed by Senate President Pro Tem Rodric Bray (R-Martinsville) to serve as the chair of the Senate Committee on Commerce and Technology during the 2024 legislative session of the Indiana General Assembly.

"It is an honor to be asked to serve as chair of the Senate Committee on Commerce and Technology," Buchanan said. "Supporting Indiana businesses that create good jobs is a top priority of the General Assembly, and I look forward to working with both the public and private sectors to review legislation and keep the Hoosier economy going strong."

The 2024 legislative session will ceremonially begin with Organization Day on Tuesday, Nov. 21. The Senate is scheduled to reconvene for session in early January.
