Bray appoints senators to study committees

STATEHOUSE (June 16, 2021) — Senate President Pro Tem Rodric Bray (R-Martinsville) today announced study committee assignments for members of the Indiana Senate.

Study committees are comprised of members of the Senate and House of Representatives and will meet over the summer and fall months to discuss a number of topics approved by the bipartisan Legislative Council in preparation for the 2022 legislative session.

"Study committees play an important part in the legislative process by giving lawmakers additional time to examine issues in-depth ahead of the 2022 legislative session," Bray said. "I'm confident we will have another productive summer and fall as the committees get their arms around their assigned topics and prepare bill concepts for 2022."

Members of the Senate will chair the study committees this year, with members of the House of Representatives serving as vice chairs.
