Bishop Noll Institute graduate gains experience at Indiana Statehouse

STATEHOUSE (Feb. 9, 2026) – Everett Fehr is serving as an intern for the Indiana Senate Majority Caucus during the 2026 legislative session, said State Sen. Dan Dernulc (R-Highland).

Fehr, a resident of Highland, is the son of Scott and Dawn Fehr. Fehr graduated from Bishop Noll Institute and is a senior at Purdue University Northwest studying accounting and finance.

Dernulc, who is also a proud 1981 graduate of Bishop Noll, said, "I'm very pleased to have an intern from the northwest region of Indiana that I represent. The experiences gained by interns with the Indiana Statehouse are sure to carry over into their professional careers."

As a fiscal intern, Fehr tracks and researches bills with a fiscal impact, attends fiscal committees and session, and tracks conference committee actions.

Senate Majority interns work through the duration of the legislative session, which is scheduled to conclude by the end of February.
