Baldwin: Honors WWII Veteran Bronice Odell Bradley

STATEHOUSE (April 17, 2025) — A resolution authored by State Sen. Scott Baldwin (R-Noblesville) to honor World War II Veteran Bronice Odell Bradley on celebrating his 100th birthday was presented to the Senate on Thursday.

Bradley enlisted at the age of 18 to serve the United States Army and became a solider who operated tank machinery under the leadership of General George S. Patton. During the Battle of the Bulge, he triumphed through excruciating sub-zero conditions and fought tirelessly for the freedoms of the American people. The historic battle lasted one year and symbolized the importance of a united American front.

"I presented Senate Resolution 59 to honor a special Hoosier who fought for the lives of so many, including the Hoosiers of today," Baldwin said. "It was an honor to author this resolution and meet such an outstanding individual who represents what a faithful, inspirational and truly dedicated Hoosier veteran is."

Due to his tremendous bravery, Bradley received a Purple Heart and wears his badge proudly. As a business owner for 44 years and a long-time Hoosier, Bradley acknowledges the powerful relationship between Indiana and their veterans.

Today, he spends his time cooking, grocery shopping and tending to his house in Carmel, where he regularly visits with his family.
