Baldwin: General Assembly kicks off 2024 session

STATEHOUSE (Nov. 21, 2023) — State Sen. Scott Baldwin (R-Noblesville) gathered with fellow legislators today at the Statehouse for Organization Day – the ceremonial start of the Indiana General Assembly.

Organization Day marks the annual first roll call of all state lawmakers. This day also provides members of the Senate and House of Representatives with the opportunity to meet before session officially reconvenes in January. By state law, the 2024 session will conclude on or before March 14.

"Members of the Interim Study Committee on Commerce and Economic Development, which I chaired, researched several topics that led to constructive conversations surrounding artificial intelligence and data security that may be considered during the 2024 legislative session," Baldwin said. "I look forward to getting back to the Statehouse to continue serving our great state and communities."

As the 2024 session gets underway, Baldwin encourages residents of Senate District 20 to contact him with any questions or comments they may have. Baldwin can be reached via email at Senator.Baldwin@iga.in.gov or by phone at 800-382-9467.
