FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
STATEHOUSE (Feb. 9, 2026) — State Sen. Ron Alting (R-Lafayette) is bringing a resolution to honor the lives and legacies of Abigail "Abby" Williams and Liberty "Libby" German, two young girls who were murdered near the Monon High Bridge in Delphi on Feb. 13, 2017.
"Abby and Libby are two precious lives who will forever be in our hearts, and their families will always remain in our prayers," Alting said. "While they were taken too early, their memories will live on as the Delphi community remembers their spirits forever."
The resolution honoring Abby and Libby will be heard in the Senate chamber during session on Thursday, Feb. 19.
"I invite anyone wishing to honor these two young ladies to attend session on Feb. 19 and sit in the Senate chamber's gallery," Alting said.
A livestream of session that day will be found online on the Indiana General Assembly's website at iga.in.gov for anyone unable to attend.
Alting encourages residents of Senate District 22 to contact him with any questions or comments they may have. Alting can be reached by filling out a "Contact Me" form online at www.IndianaSenateRepublicans.com/Alting or by phone at 800-382-9467.
