Alting celebrates Delphi Lions Club 75th anniversary

STATEHOUSE (May 22, 2025) — State Sen. Ron Alting (R-Lafayette) celebrated the 75th anniversary of the Delphi Lions Club during a ceremony on Wednesday, May 21.

The club was established in May 1950 with sponsorship from the Lions Club in nearby Logansport.

"Since its inception, the Delphi Lions Club has been one of the leading philanthropic organizations in Carroll County," Alting said. "Their efforts have supported local school children, assisted with vision screenings and helped provide assistance during disasters."

During his remarks, Alting read a declaration from Gov. Mike Braun and presented a certificate from the Senate.

The Delphi Lions Club currently has 38 members and meets twice a month for dinner at the Delphi Presbyterian Church.

"I am honored to recognize the Delphi Lions Club and all the work they've done over the last 75 years. I look forward to seeing more great work in the years ahead," Alting said.
